Earlier this Saturday before Palms day I had the pleasure be one of thirteen companions in a hiking adventure took us to the heights of Batroun towards Assia, Bechealeh & ending with Douma. Our guides were more like friends and not just professional tour operators. Our trip was full of fun, the taste of Batroun & acquaintances hopefully they become friends.
On 16/03/2017 it was a night filled with anticipation and expectation. In Lebanon you can only expect perfection when it comes to Caracalla, this brilliant mind of Abdel-Halim Caracalla and his magnificent crew and selection of cast and dancers brought to life a masterpiece proud to say made in Lebanon. What really struck as brilliant and quite unique for a theatrical show the extent usage of cinematic imagery and quite effective and to the benefit of the show. The experience as if you are watching a movie for Akira Kurosawa where dreams become reality. As for bad experiences at the location of the show " Forum De Beirut" in Lebanon, there will always be issues like parking a couple of miles away or the really annoying seating and some people can't see the tall ones in front. Well, this might be true but when you experience the majestic of Caracalla you forget about such petty problems. In brief I will provide my opinion on this epic theatrical story.
I have been anticipating for quite sometime this event , since I met my new friend Maya Akra. When you want to talk about Maya she's your unconventional comedy show host, some people might dislike her way nevertheless she's got this positive and spontaneous energy will make you love her for what she is. As for the act I'll have to go into little details concerning the four performances.
An exciting discussion with Ms. Phyllis Kotite, an astonishing person of marjeyoune origins with plenty of stories and experiences during her time in the UN since the 50's.
